NEUP CINR-17-12502: High Resolution Temperature and Flow Measurements in Wire-Wrapped Fuel Assemblies

We will produce high-quality, high spatial and temporal resolution concurrent temperature, velocity (plus statistics), pressure, and wall shear stress measurements in wire-wrapped rod bundles, for a wide range of Reynolds number to cover the laminar, transition, and turbulent flow regimes. Different bundle sizes, configurations (including duct's and pin's deformation) and Low-Prandlt fluids will be investigated. A unique set of data will be produced to support advanced CFD tools validation.
