NEUP CINR-18-15056: Model-Based Diagnsotics and Mitigation of Cyber Threats

We propose to develop a toolkit for modeling digital instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for nuclear power plants so that the consequences of cyber-attacks on I&C systems may conveniently be modeled using nuclear plant simulation software. The toolkit will be developed to model the plant hardware affected and the attack scenarios and defensive measures are encoded into an intrusion detection system, which will be tested for analog and digital I&C systems at a virtual control room.
