NEUP CINR-18-15103: Microstructure-Based Benchmarking for Nano/Microscale Tension and Ductility Testing of Irradiated Steels
The objective of this study is to standardize methods for nano/micro-scale tensile and ductility testing of irradiated Fe-Cr steels, through microstructure-based benchmarking. Nano/micro-scale mechanical testing is commonly used to assess strength and properties of irradiated materials because of the small test volume. But there is no established set of “best practices” to ensure consistency of methods and validity of results, which precludes meaningful comparison across researchers.
