NEUP CINR-19-16739: IMPROVEMENTS OF NUCLEAR DATA EVALUATIONS FOR LEAD ISOTOPES IN SUPPORT OF NEXT GENERATION LEAD-COOLED FAST SYSTEMS
Modern design and licensing practices requires accurate simulation and reliable uncertainties on simulated quantities. For neutron transport calculations, the evaluated covariance can then be used to produce calculated uncertainties. The questions a reactor designer should ask are; how accurate are the current nuclear data, are the associated covariance realistic, and can they be trusted? This project will address nuclear data issues in Fast Lead Cooled reactors.
