NEUP CINR-19-17093: Integrating multi-modal microscopy techniques and the MOSAIC simulation environment to assess changes in the physical properties and chemical durability of concrete following radiation exposure

By a pioneering integration of microscopy imaging modalities this study develops a generalizable protocol for quantifying the changes in physical properties and chemical durability of concrete and concrete constituents (minerals and aggregates) following radiation exposure. The imaging analyses will be input into the MOSAIC framework to reveal the nature and extent of degradation that is expected to result. The outcomes offer insights that are needed to enable and inform second license renewals.
