NEUP CINR-20-19735: Experiments for Modeling and Validation of Liquid-Metal Heat Pipe Simulation Tools for Micro-Reactor

In the Nuclear Energy Advanced Modeling and Simulation (NEAMS) program, Sockeye, a joint LANL&INL heat-pipe simulation program built on top of the MOOSE framework, is being developed to support the micro-reactor design and licensing activities. The proposed work aims to produce validation data for the heat-pipe code, Sockeye, by measuring the internal thermal-hydraulic parameters of a single heat-pipe and the performance of an integrated multi-heat-pipe system in various operation scenarios.
