NEUP CINR-21-24048: Dynamic Modeling, Optimization and Technoeconomic Analysis of Integrated Energy Systems for Sodium Fast Reactors
The overarching goal of the project is to develop high-fidelity dynamic process models for innovative integrated energy system (IES) designs and perform multi-layer optimization and technoeconomic analysis (TEA) to support advanced reactors. Specifically, we will leverage the “Natrium” (being developed by our industrial partners GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) and TerraPower) as the platform (baseline system) to explore various IES design options.
