NEUP CINR-21-24156: Experimental thermofluidic validation of TCR fuel elements using distributed temperature and flow sensing
The overall goal of this project will be to test the performance of 3D printed Transformational Challenge Reactor (TCR) core geometry parts using existing Helium flow loops and distributed temperature, and velocity sensing systems. Thermal transport capabilities of scaled 3D printed ceramic core will be evaluated experimentally and measurements will be used to qualify computational models.
