NEUP CINR-22-26883: Open Architecture for Nuclear Cost Reduction
Open architecture has potential to reduce advanced reactor (AR) costs, through exploiting modular design and construction, with common, openly available interfaces between modules. We will perform a comprehensive assessment of the challenges and opportunities of open architecture for ARs. Supported by a pilot study, we will then develop actionable recommendations for the implementation or otherwise of open architecture for ARs.
