NEUP CINR-25-34084: PIE of AM SS316 Thimble Plugging Device After Three Cycles in Byron Unit 1

Westinghouse (WEC) and Constellation Energy installed a thimble plugging device in Byron-1 in 2018, consisting of AM SS316L rodlets printed on top of conventional 304SS base plate. This TPD will be harvested by WEC and EPRI after 3 cycle of operation, having accumulated ~2dpa under primary conditions. This project aims to understand the effects of neutron irradiation on AM SS316 microstructure, and proposes a detailed microstructural characterization of irradiated rodlets and base using S/TEM
