NEUP CINR-25-34280: A Multiphysics, Multi-Cycle Benchmark of the Fast Flux Test Facility (FFTF)

The Fast Flux Test Facility (FFTF) was a 400 MWth, MOX-fueled, sodium fast reactor which operated at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory site from 1980-1992. Collected over its entire 12-cycle lifetime is a wealth of operations data which can be used to validate multiphysics couplings between neutronics and thermal-fluids and multi-cycle depletion. We propose to develop this data into an IRPhE benchmark and validate NEAMS tools for reactor physics and thermal-fluids.
